Position overview

TeamGenius is seeking a Content Marketing Associate to join our growing team and own our creative production, distribution, and social engagement efforts. As part of the marketing team, this individual will be responsible for keeping our content and social media marketing machine running. They will be creating original content and graphics, as well as post-producing and managing the distribution of all content from partners and other members of the team. This individual will have the opportunity to make a real impact as an early employee at a small but high-growth company. 

What you’ll do:

• Help develop the content marketing strategy – inclusive of:
  • Key content pillars by brand, channel, and audience
  • A content/editorial calendar to execute
  • A distribution playbook (ex: we have a long webinar recording, how do we cut it down, and which channels do we distribute it on to hit our goals)
• Organize and coordinate needs from partners and other team members to help execute strategy
• Occasionally write original blogs and host live webinars or podcast episodes to execute strategy
• Post-produce all of your original content and content provided by partners and other members of the team.
  • This includes taking raw video, audio, and written files and editing them into a distributable format for our audience by adding intros, outros, cover photos, music, etc. where necessary.
• Take long-form content and distill it down into bite-size pieces specific to certain channels and audiences
• Produce promotional graphics to help support upcoming events, news, contests, giveaways, and other key items that make up the greater marketing strategy
• Repurpose and reshare existing content (blog posts, webinars, PDFs, interviews, testimonials) to achieve goals
• Own all social media and in-app community engagement for the brand
  • Respond to posts/comments
  • Create polls
  • Answer DMs
  • Craft push notifications
• Provide ongoing reporting and identify opportunities to improve the content distribution and social engagement strategies
• Occasionally work with our development team to consult on user experience and design of TeamGenius products.

Requirements:

• Success in a similar or related position (there isn’t a definitive years of experience required for this position, so long as you have the applicable experience that would help you be successful in this position)
• Need to understand B2B and B2C content marketing
• Need to understand the purposes of all social channels and key strategies for success in each
• Need to have graphic design chops, and be able to produce compelling creative assets
  • Includes being dangerous in at least one graphics editor like Adobe Photoshop
• Need to be able to edit video and audio
  • Includes being dangerous in at least one video editor like Adobe Premier Pro or Final Cut Pro
• Need to be an excellent writer
• Need to have great people skills when engaging with our audience, colleagues, and partners on a regular basis 
• Need to be an innovative thinker and have the ability to both strategize and execute

• You are an expert at more than one:
• graphic design, social media marketing, video editing, content creation
